Symposium on Climate Change, Agriculture, and Biodiversity in South Africa

This page summarizes the proceeding of a symposium on Climate Change, Agriculture and Biodiversity in South Africa, which was held in Cape Town on August 17-18, 2011. The Symposium’s purpose was to integrate research conducted by Princeton University into the existing body of South Africa-focused climate change impacts knowledge. The Princeton research focused specifically on understanding how agricultural adaptation to climate change could impact conservation land uses, and was motivated by the insight that the human response to climatic shifts can have larger ecological consequences than the direct effects of changing temperature and precipitation regimes. Follow the links below to access the list of attendees, presentations, and links to data arising from the project.
